these delicious morsels, carr's ginger lemon cookies, are amongst a short list of my all-time favorite things to eat. if you haven't tried them yet, please do. you can find them at costco.
i've learned that i eat less sugar when i'm not thinking about it than when i try to avoid it altogether. the lack of sugar only made me want it more, and i stormed the candy aisle like a ravenous wolfe. so i'm back to sugar in moderation.
it's best this way.
oh, and last night i made sopaipillas with andy and naomi. had i not broken my promise to myself, i wouldn't have enjoyed their company as much if i didn't have a warm, honey-smothered deep-fried pastry swirling around in my mouth. andy and naomi are enjoyable, but sugar makes everything better.
so sugar, this one's for you.

Anything fried and/or sugary improves the quality of my life ten-fold. Was that a bit dramatic?
Thanks for the cookies. I need the energy for packing up the house.
Homemade anything sounds good and I agree on the lack of making you want more.....
