counting sheep

hello, friends. i haven't posted in awhile, or at least i haven't posted anything of my thoughts. so it seems. i'm sitting in bed eating the face off a lamb and drinking milk from the carton. barbarian? perhaps. liz and i made this easter cake a few days ago. it took several hours to roll the fondant into swirls and then place all the pieces, but nash and music kept us company.

nash... he had a fever that night and spent most of his time in liz's bed watching caillou. he'd occasionally come out to request, "emmy, come cuddle me," and i'd promptly wash the sugar crumbs from my hands and snuggle a few minutes in the fluffy bed. nash is majorly loved.

i haven't yet mentioned how delicious this cake is, or that it's my dinner. the wool tastes like marshmallow and the innards like a chocolate chip cookie. a sugar high is imminent, followed by a welcomed crash... and then it's off to my own fluffy bed to catch up on much needed sleep. maybe with some sleep, i'll be able to come up with better posts and titles - animals and sleeping have been on my mind, apparently.

good night, all. i've missed you.
